Sammy Troughton to stay on as AmaTuks head coach

The Tshwane outfit finished in 13th position under the tutelage of Troughton this past season, but the management has decided to give him another chance to impress

The 51-year-old former Mpumalanga Black Aces coach has confirmed that he will be given a chance to head AmaTuks' technical team for the upcoming season.

Troughton took over on an interim basis when Steve Barker left for AmaZulu last season.

“I have been told I will get a chance to do it my way. We sort of ticked over last season after Steve left, but now there is the chance to refresh the squad and push on,” Troughton told the Sowetan on Tuesday.

Having lost striker Geoffrey Massa to Bloemfontein Celtic last week, Troughton revealed that  they will be looking to bolster their squad for next season, adding that the club could wrap some of the deals this week.

“We are busy at the moment looking, but we are expecting movement this week,” Troughton said.
