AmaZulu have completed the signing of attacking midfielder Paul Were from Kenyan side AFC Leopards, this was confirmed to Goal by Usuthu's team manager Japhet Zwane.
The former Bafana Bafana and Manning Rangers winger wasn't sure of Were's contract length, but Goal has since learnt that the Kenyan player penned a three-year deal with the Durban-based outfit.
"We have signed Kenyan midfielder Paul Were," Zwane told Goal. "I can confirm that he will be playing for us next season," added Zwane.
Were joins the likes of Philani Shange and Siya Mngoma who were signed in the current Transfer Window as part of reinforcing the team for the new season.
The 23-year-old midfielder had an unsuccessful trial with Bidvest Wits earlier this year before returning to his club for their Caf Confederation Cup back in February.
However, he returns to South Africa after impressing Craig Rosslee and his technical team who then wasted no time in luring him to Usuthu.
