Official: Roger de Sa unveiled as Ajax Cape Town coach

The Urban Warriors confirmed on Thursday afternoon that De Sa will be their head coach until 2016
Former Orlando Pirates coach Roger de Sa has finally joined Ajax Cape Town as their new head coach almost three weeks after leaving the 2013 Caf Champions League finalists.

De Sa was linked with the vacant position at the Urban Warriors for quite some time now, and although he admitted to Goal that he's talking to a few clubs, Ajax were always the favourites to win his signature.

Announcing De Sa's appointment, Ajax's Exective Director Ari Efstathiou revealed that deal was finalized on Wednesday night, and also believes that the former Bidvest Wits mentor will challenge for the PSL title in the next two seasons.

“After a long deliberation and thorough analysis of all the applications that we have received, we believe that we have found the right man to steer us forward.
"We have agreed terms with Roger and he has accepted the position of Head Coach at Ajax Cape Town until 2016," Efstathiou told the club website.
The 49-year-old De Sa is expected to be on the bench when Ajax Cape Town host Mamelodi Sundowns in the Nedbank Cup on Friday night.
