Orlando Pirates’ Mark Mayambela could sign with an overseas club

Tim Sukazi tells Goal that he is currently negotiating with several European clubs that might be interested in Mark Mayambela’s services

The out-of-favour Orlando Pirates midfielder Mark Mayambela could soon be plying his trade in Europe according to his agent Tim Sukazi.

Mayambela was earlier this season told that his contract with Pirates will not be renewed, and Sukazi confirmed that the player’s contract is due to expire at the end of June and that the player is certainly leaving Bucs.

“Mayambela’s contract with Pirates is coming to an end on June 30, and as you might know Pirates told us that they will not be renewing his contract and that is still the case,” Sukazi told Goal.

“We have been negotiating with several clubs from overseas to see if we can strike a deal, but I am certain that something positive will come out of it,” said Sukazi.

The 25-year-old dribbling wizard has been linked with a move back to Bloemfontein Celtic where he started his professional career, but Sukazi revealed that they haven’t been negotiating with local clubs.

“We haven’t been negotiating with local clubs. The aim is to get the player overseas and the rest will follow, but no local club came to us for Mayambela’s services,” added Sukazi.
