Aubrey Modiba, who scooped the Absa Premiership Young Player of the Season award after his impressive displays with AmaZayoni, has reportedly caught the eye of the big three clubs.
His coach Muhsin Ertugral has told Goal that a move at this time will be too soon because he, along with Thabo Nodada, has not yet completed their ‘education processes’ as young players.
“It will be too soon because he (Modiba) played only 20 games and a couple of more athletic games this season as has Thabo Nodada,” Ertugral told Goal.
“The process of these young players is the education part. The process is not finished. They need to be much more stable to be at top clubs,” he said.
“The challenge is that every weekend you need to be able to produce the top performances for top games which they are called up for and that means they will have to be more stable, (which) they are not,” Ertugral continued.
“I see that it is too early and we are not going to release anyone of these youngsters (now). It might be next season, but not now,” he concluded.
As the club will be playing its football in the Western Cape next season, the two players will no doubt be key to their objectives.
