Manucho: We didn’t play well against Morocco but we will beat South Africa

Angolan national team captain Manucho told South Africa that they will get all three points in their second match of the 2013 Afcon in Durban
With Bafana Bafana looking for their first Afcon win since 2004, Angolan national team captain Alberto Mateus Contreiras, famously known as Manucho has told South Africa that they will pile more misery on South Africa on Wednesday.

Angola played to a 0-0 draw against Morocco in their opening match on Saturday.

“We didn’t play well against Morocco on Saturday night. We failed to score which was unusual but we will win our next game,” said Manucho.

The former Manchester United striker brushed off rumours that he was forced to play, as Manucho admitted that he is still nursing a thigh injury but assured Angolan fans that he wants to play on for the entire Afcon tournament.

“It’s a thigh injury but the team doctors told me that I can play and I played the whole 90 minutes against Morocco so there is no need for our fans to panic, because this is not too serious,” added  Manucho, who is currently plying his trade at Spanish La Liga outfit Real Valladolid.
