Commentary

Thank you for following our coverage. Until next time, goodbye!
Both sides are back in action in 10 days' time. Rangers put their unbeaten record on the line once more away at Livingston, while Celtic host St Johnstone.
Rangers run away with the Old Firm derby at Ibrox! Kemar Roofe's brace sandwiched a vicious strike from Alfredo Morelos to put Steven Gerrard's side firmly in control. Odsonne Edouard had equalised in the first half for Celtic, who also had Callum McGregor sent off for two bookings in as many minutes. But it was Rangers' day and they put the icing on the cake in stoppage time, when substitute Jermain Defoe got in on the act. Gerrard's men remain on course to complete the Scottish Premiership season unbeaten, while that is 18 wins from 18 on home soil.
90' + 4' FULL-TIME: RANGERS 4-1 CELTIC
I. Hagi
Assist
Rangers
90' + 2' Hagi demonstrated brilliant instincts and awareness to pick out Defoe, who completes the rout in stoppage time.
J. Defoe
Goal
Rangers
90' + 2' DEFOE!!! 4-1 RANGERS! That's the icing on the cake! The substitutes combine as an instinctive first-time pass from Hagi releases Defoe, who twists and turns away from Welsh before slotting past a helpless Bain.
90' + 1' Rangers are on the brink of going unbeaten against Celtic in a single season for the first time since the 1999-2000 campaign. Then, they were under the stewardship of Dick Advocaat.
90' We are going to have three additional minutes at the end of this game.
88' Celtic look to launch a late rally but an attempted cross is cut out by Davis. It has been a successful season for the Northern Ireland captain, who recently became the most-capped British player of all time after making his 126th international appearance.
J. Defoe
K. Roofe
Rangers
86' No hat-trick for Roofe, but a good day's work from him. He goes off to be replaced by Jermain Defoe.
I. Hagi
A. Morelos
Rangers
84' An exhausted Morelos makes way to be replaced by Ianis Hagi.
82' WHAT A CHANCE! A lovely move by Celtic culminates in an unmarked Elyounoussi being found at the far post. However, he is unable to keep his header down and on target.
80' Great run! An opportunity opens for Ajer, who embarks on a dangerous run into the Rangers box. But the Swede gets his shot all wrong as he sends the ball flying into the stands.
S. Wright
B. Barišić
Rangers
79' Barisic goes off to be replaced by Scott Wright.
78' Thankfully, Barisic does not need the stretcher as he gets back to his feet. However, it is unlikely that the Croatian will continue in this game.
77' A concern for Rangers as Barisic stays down and appears to be in distress. The left-back went down after playing the ball down the line with no Celtic player near him. The referee has signalled for the stretcher.
M. Johnston
O. Édouard
Celtic
75' Celtic turn to the bench with Edouard going off to be replaced by Mikey Johnston.
74' The ball is whipped into the box, but they are unable to find a way through the stubborn Rangers defence. Of course, the unbeaten record will be firmly in the hosts' mind.
73' Celtic with a chance to find a route back into the contest as they are awarded a free-kick after Davis' foul on Elyounoussi.
71' Nearly! Eyeing his hat-trick, Roofe looks to get on the end of Tavernier's delicious cross. But a combination of Kenny and Welsh do just about enough to snuff him out.
69' Celtic enjoy a rare venture forward at the other end. Edouard makes his way into the box, but his scuffed effort deflects behind for a corner.
67' A dangerous break from Rangers with Kent leading the charge. He feeds Morelos, who has Roofe to aim for in the box, but his attempted cross is clear by Ajer.
66' The hosts go in search of a fourth goal and force a series of corners, but the visitors remain concentrated and clear their lines.
65' We are into the final 25 mintues at Ibrox and Rangers are well in control of proceedings here. Can Celtic launch a late rally?
63' Another chance for Morelos as space opens for him to shoot. But his effort is straight down the throat of Bain.
M. Elyounoussi
Yellow Card
Celtic
63' Elyounoussi is booked after tugging the shirt of Kent.
62' Brown's 44th and final Old Firm game comes to an end. Of course, he will move to Aberdeen as player-assistant next season.
R. Christie
J. Forrest
Celtic
60' Forrest also makes way for Ryan Christie.
I. Soro
S. Brown
Celtic
60' A double-change from Celtic. The first sees Brown make way for Ismaila Soro.
59' Rangers have breathing space at Ibrox. There is still a long way to go, but it is looking increasingly likely that the Old Firm bragging rights will be theirs once more.
B. Barišić
Assist
Rangers
57' Barisic provided a wonderful cross from the left for Roofe to attack.
K. Roofe
Goal
Rangers
57' ROOFE!!! 3-1 RANGERS! Great header! A patient build-up from the hosts culminates in Roofe latching onto Barisic's cross, before firmly planting a header beyond the dive of Bain for his second goal of the game.
55' WHAT A CHANCE! Turnbull must score! A big opportunity for Celtic as Forrest delivers a delicious cross from the right. Turnbull is unmarked at the near post, but unable to keep his header on target.
53' Marvellous skills by Kent, who sells Taylor a dummy before delivering an inviting cross. However, Roofe is unable to get over the ball and keep his header down.
51' Clever play from Davis as he turns away from Brown before driving at the Celtic defence. He looks to slide the ball through for Morelos, but the Colombian had just strayed into an offside position.
49' Despite holding the lead, Rangers are not resting on their laurels and have made a bright start to this second half. They have enjoyed plenty of possession and the Celtic defence are having to remain fully concentrated.
47' Close! A nervy moment for Celtic as Tavernier's cross is turned towards his own goal by Ajer. Thankfully for the visitors, Bain is alert and gathers.
46' The referee blows his whistle and Rangers get the ball rolling once more.
It is tough to judge how this second half will pan out. Rangers have dropped just six points from winning positions this season; a joint-low with Hibernian. Meanwhile with 14, Celtic have gained more points from losing positions than any other side in the Scottish Premiership this term.
Rangers lead the Old Firm derby at the break. The hosts took the lead through Kemar Roofe but Celtic, who had Callum McGregor sent off, responded almost immediately through Odsonne Edouard. However, Rangers edged their noses back in front through Alfredo Morelos' thumping strike.
45' HALF-TIME: RANGERS 2-1 CELTIC
43' WHAT A TACKLE! Danger for Rangers as Edouard embarks on a dangerous run into the area. But just as he is about to pull the trigger, Davis steps in with a perfectly timed sliding challenge to clear.
42' The two teams have had a combined total of 18 shots on goal as we approach the latter stages of this first half. It is fair to say they are both going for it here.
40' Celtic seek their second equaliser and a chance falls for Forrest in the box. However, the Rangers defence stands firm to deflect his shot behind for a corner.
39' A special mention for Edouard. He has now scored 10 of Celtic's last 14 league goals against Rangers - and six of their last seven!
37' All of a sudden, this Old Firm derby has burst into life! We finally have a chance to catch our breath after three goals in the space of seven minutes, and a red card.
35' Buoyed by that goal, Morelos tries his luck from range as space opens in front of him. However, this effort goes straight into the grateful arms of Bain.
A. Morelos
Goal
Rangers
33' MORELOS!!! 2-1 RANGERS! Yet another twist here! Rangers go straight down the other end and force a corner. From there, Morelos cuts inside from the right before smashing into the roof of the net from a tight angle.
32' Now, Rangers look to respond immediately and Bain is called into action with a couple of smart saves to deny them.
K. Ajer
Assist
Celtic
30' Ajer did well to keep the corner alive and find Edouard, who made no mistake.
O. Édouard
Goal
Celtic
30' EDOUARD!!! 1-1! An immediate reply by Celtic! A deep corner to the far post is cushioned into the six-yard box by Ajer, before Edouard applies the finishing touch from close range.
28' Almost! Despite the numerical disadvantage, Celtic look for an immediate response and McGregor has to be alert to tip over Kenny's cross that was dangerously dipping towards goal.
26' RED CARD! McGregor is off! Celtic are down to 10 men as the midfielder is shown a second yellow card. He can have few complaints after a late challenge on Kamara in the build-up to the goal.
R. Kent
Assist
Rangers
26' Kent claims the assist as despite not connecting with the shot as well as he would have liked, Roofe was perfectly placed to direct it home.
K. Roofe
Goal
Rangers
26' ROOFE!!! 1-0 RANGERS! The hosts strike first in the Old Firm derby! Following a patient build-up, the ball is laid back to Kent, whose scuffed shot deflects home via the chest of Roofe.
25' OFF THE BAR! What an effort by Elyounoussi! It is an equally important touch by McGregor! Space opens for the Celtic midfielder to let fly from distance. McGregor just about manages to get a fingertip to the dipping effort, which crashes against the upright.
C. McGregor
Yellow Card
Celtic
24' McGregor catches Kent with a late challenge and goes into the book.
23' A neat move by Celtic culminates in Turnbull crossing into the box. But his centre is not the best and easily gathered by McGregor.
21' Of course, Rangers are looking to maintain their perfect home record in the Scottish Premiership this season. Gerrard's side have won all 17 league games at Ibrox, but Celtic will be desperate to ruin that today.
19' Barisic embarks on a strong run down the left flank before sending his cross into the box. It is headed away but only as far as Kent, who snatches at his volley and sends it into the stands.
J. Simpson
Yellow Card
Rangers
17' Simpson receives the first yellow card of the game after accidentally catching Edouard with a trailing arm.
15' Get out of the way! Forrest cuts inside from the right wing before letting fly with his left foot. His vicious strike is on target, but Turnbull unwittingly gets in the way and deflects it away from goal.
13' No player has been directly involved in more Scottish Premiership goals than Tavernier this season. The Rangers full-back has scored 11, while providing nine assists.
11' CHANCE! Tavernier with the first opportunity to get forward and whip a dangerous ball across the face of goal. Morelos arrives at the far post, but is unable to turn it home.
9' The hosts continue to apply the pressure and Aribo has a chance to shoot. However, Welsh is well-placed to block his effort.
8' Rangers look to threaten at the other end with Kent sending a low cross into the box, but McGregor is there to clear for Celtic.
6' Celtic arrive at Ibrox winless in their last three away league games. You must go back to May 2013 for the last time they went four on the road without winning in the Scottish Premiership.
4' It has been a bright start by Celtic, who force a corner. But the Rangers defence stay alert and stand firm to keep their opponents at bay.
2' A loose pass by Kamara inside his own penalty area invites unnecessary pressure on Rangers, who just about recover to clear the danger.
1' The referee blows his whistle and Celtic get us underway!
The players are out and kick-off is moments away.
Rangers have certainly enjoyed the better of the recent history between these sides. They have won four of their five home games against Celtic under Gerrard; keeping a clean sheet in each of the victories.
Interim boss John Kennedy also makes just a couple of alterations from Celtic's 1-1 draw with Aberdeen last week. James Forrest and Kristoffer Ajer are fit to start, with Nir Bitton and Ryan Christie dropping to the bench. Albian Ajeti and Mikey Johnston are also back from injury and take their place among the substitutes, as Scott Brown plays his final Old Firm derby.
Steven Gerrard makes two changes from Rangers' Scottish Cup quarter-final defeat by St Johnstone last weekend. Jack Simpson makes his Old Firm debut in the heart of defence, and there is also a recall for Kemar Roofe. Filip Helander and Scott Arfield have been ruled out for the rest of the season, while Leon Balogun, Ryan Jack and Nikola Katic are also unavailable.
SUBS: Vasilis Barkas, Anthony Ralston, Diego Laxalt, Nir Bitton, Ismaila Soro, Ryan Christie, Mikey Johnston, Leigh Griffiths, Albian Ajeti.
