FULL TIME - A thrilling second half and a highly entertaining contest comes to an end at AAMI Park!  Despite being a man down, the Jets threw everything at City in the second half but ultimately couldn't find an equaliser.  Melbourne City consolidate their 4th position on the ladder with a 2-1 victory over the Newcastle Jets.

45' + 2' CHANCE!  At the far post, Nikolai Topor-Stanley loops a header that lands right on the goal line - Eugene Galekovic, with outstetched arms, somehow manages to hang onto the ball and prevent it from crossing the goal line.  Only a matter of inches in that one!
