Commentary

Thank you for joining our coverage, we hope you enjoyed the game. Until next time, goodbye!
Leeds will look to get back to winning ways as they travel to face Newcastle United next, while Brighton host Blackpool in the fourth round of the FA Cup before Fulham visit them in the Premier League.
There goes the full-time whistle! Brighton earn their first win in 10 Premier League games courtesy of Maupay's first-half tap-in following excellent work from Mac Allister. Leeds struggled to get into their usual rhythm and hardly threatened the Seagulls, who held on for an important victory. It finishes 1-0 to Brighton!
90' + 3' FULL-TIME: LEEDS UNITED 0-1 BRIGHTON AND HOVE ALBION
90' + 2' Propper has the chance to race in behind and go one-on-one, but instead he slows up and heads to the corner before playing a safe pass back to keep possession. The visitors are keen to run the clock down now.
90' Leeds have just three minutes of added time left to grab an equaliser. They've got to throw everyone forward now.
88' Roberts' blocked shot causes chaos in the Brighton box as it bounces around, eventually falling to Bamford, who shifts it onto his left and pulls the trigger, but Veltman nicks it away and wins the foul.
86' NO PENALTY! Harrison glides into the box and gets the wrong side of Veltman before going down under pressure, but the referee makes no motion to award a spot-kick! In fairness to the Leeds winger, there were no appeals and he simply got back up and carried on.
84' Brighton have dropped more points from winning positions than any other side in the Premier League this season (12). Can they see this one-goal lead out and take all three points today?
82' CHANCE! Webster charges forward from the back and hits a low drive from the edge of the box. Casilla holds it but then, inexplicably, allows it to slip from his grasp and fall behind him, towards his own net! However, he scrambles back in time to atone for his error and keeps hold of it this time!
D. Pröpper
N. Maupay
81' Maupay is off now for an additional central midfielder in Propper. Gross pushes forward in support of Tau, while the substitute slots in alongside Bissouma and White.
79' Leeds still have nearly all their outfield players in the Brighton half as they dominate possession towards the end of the game. They're not creating anything clear-cut, however.
77' Leeds win a corner and are starting to pen Brighton in. The visitors are very deep and narrow and are struggling to get out.
I. Poveda-Ocampo
Raphinha
75' Bielsa's final change is made now, with Raphinha coming off for young winger Poveda to provide fresh legs on the flank.
P. Tau
L. Trossard
73' Potter now replaces Trossard with Tau in a positive change for Brighton. The substitute goes up front alongside Maupay.
A. Webster
Yellow Card
71' Webster hauls Roberts back to prevent Leeds from breaking away and earns himself a yellow card.
69' Hernandez clips the ball into Bamford, who can't direct his header on target and it's too wide for Roberts to latch onto at the back post!
Pablo Hernández
E. Alioski
67' Bielsa makes a bold change now, bringing Alioski off for Hernandez as he searches for a way to break Brighton down.
66' SAVE! Leeds counter and Bamford feeds Roberts to his right in the box, but Sanchez keeps the shot from a tight angle out at the near post!
65' White pops up on the edge of the box again and has a go from distance, but it's charged down once more and Leeds have the ball back.
Y. Bissouma
A. Mac Allister
63' Meanwhile, Potter switches to a 3-5-2 as he replaces Mac Allister with an extra midfielder in Bissouma.
63' SAVE! Raphinha's left-wing corner finds Cooper at the back post, and the central defender nods towards the bottom-right corner, but he can't generate enough power on the header and Sanchez holds on!
T. Roberts
Rodrigo
62' Bielsa makes a chance as he looks to get his side back in the game, bringing Rodrigo off and introducing Roberts in support of Bamford.
60' OVER! Alioski gifts Maupay the ball and the striker darts forward before cutting back to Trossard, but the Belgian lashes just over the bar from the edge of the box!
58' Ayling advances superbly down the right, beating two before switching the play to the left. Raphinha crosses from the left, but it's behind everyone in the box and Brighton clear comfortably. The hosts had plenty forward, but the delivery was wasteful.
56' Leeds pepper the Brighton box with crosses, but they can't quite capitalise and Sanchez is eventually out to claim the ball and quell the danger.
54' Rodrigo has pushed into a more advanced role since the break and is now playing almost up alongside Bamford as the hosts look to threaten more than they did in the first half.
52' Leeds have started the second half in a more composed fashion, keeping the ball better and using it more efficiently. There were plenty of sloppy passes in the first half.
50' CLOSE! Leeds work the ball well down the left and it's swept across to Bamford, but he's dispossessed. It falls for Harrison on the right, however, and the winger tries to bend one into the top-left corner with his left foot, but he sends it whistling just past the post!
48' Brighton work the ball around the box for an extended period and Mac Allister eventually sets Maupay up just inside the box, but the striker snatches at his shot and drags it well wide.
46' We're back underway for the second half!
Leeds did not look themselves in that first half and Bielsa will certainly not be pleased with his team's performance. However, Brighton have struggled to see games out and the hosts will hope to exploit that tendency in the second half.
There goes the half-time whistle! Leeds trail at the break following a well-worked Brighton goal, as Mac Allister and Trossard combined to carve the hosts apart before the former squared for Maupay to tap into an empty net. The visitors also hit the bar via a deflection as they enjoyed the better of the first 45 minutes, but could not get a second. It's 1-0 to Brighton at half-time!
45' + 1' HALF-TIME: LEEDS UNITED 0-1 BRIGHTON AND HOVE ALBION
44' There's a stoppage while Trossard receives some treatment in the aftermath of that challenge from Ayling. The winger goes to the sidelines to be checked over, but he's fine and is able to come back on and continue.
L. Ayling
Yellow Card
42' Ayling races across to challenge Trossard and he arrives a little late, catching the winger and earning himself a yellow card.
40' Bamford is a little overzealous as he challenges for the ball in the Brighton half and he's penalised for fouling Dunk.
38' The tempo of the game has slowed now as Brighton's momentum fades, but Leeds still look a little laboured and not their usual, vibrant selves.
36' Leeds craft a slick move down the right as Harrison drifts infield before sending a reverse ball in behind for Dallas, but he can't quite get into position to cross it and it runs behind for a goal-kick.
34' Webster strides into midfield with the ball and sends it wide for Veltman to cross into the middle - where Brighton have four waiting - but it's a little too high and sails over everyone.
32' Leeds win a corner but it's dealt with comfortably by Sanchez, who claims the cross confidently. Brighton's height is such an advantage at set-pieces.
30' Leeds have conceded 14 league goals at Elland Road this season, as many as they shipped in 23 home games last term.
28' BLOCK! Former Leeds defender White surges upfield and gets to the edge of the box before having a pop at goal, but Ayling gets himself in the way and makes the block!
26' OVER! A left-wing cross is lofted to the back post where Dunk heads back into the middle for Burn, but he can't connect cleanly under pressure and sends it off-target! Leeds are really under the cosh now.
23' CROSSBAR! Trossard weaves his way to the byline and slams a cross in that takes a wicked deflection of Ayling that wrong-foots Casilla, but clatters off the bar and stays out!
21' Maupay has scored in four of his five league matches against Leeds - more than any other opponent in his career in England - including each of his last three and his last two at Elland Road. The Frenchman is the second Brighton player to score 10+ away Premier League goals after Glenn Murray (11).
19' CHANCE! Alioski feeds Raphinha down the left and the winger fires across goal for Bamford, but the striker can't connect cleanly with the shot and the flag goes up for offside anyway.
A. Mac Allister
Assist
17' Mac Allister's intelligent movement off the ball saw him get into a fantastic position after combining with Trossard and he created a chance that Maupay couldn't miss!
N. Maupay
Goal
17' GOAL!! BRIGHTON TAKE THE LEAD!! Mac Allister plays a neat give-and-go with Trossard and races into the box before squaring for an unmarked Maupay to tap into an empty net! It's 1-0 to Brighton!
16' OVER! Alioski's cross from the left is headed away, but Klich picks it up on the edge of the box and tries to lash one in with his left foot, but he gets a little under it and fires just over the bar!
14' Trossard wriggles into space on the right and lofts a cross into the box for Maupay, but Casilla climbs over him to hold onto the ball despite the presence of the striker.
12' Harrison tracks March's run into the box and the pair go down in a tangle as a long ball comes in, but the referee gives the free-kick to Leeds.
10' NO PENALTY! Mac Allister slips the ball into the box for Maupay and he gets the wrong side of Ayling before going down, but the referee isn't interested! There was barely any contact between the two and the striker would have been better off taking the shot on instead of going to ground.
8' Maupay has looked very isolated in the opening minutes of this one. Brighton have gone long a few times but the Frenchman hasn't had any joy in the air against Cooper.
6' CHANCE! Alioski does brilliantly to burst away from his man down the left and fizzes a superb ball across the face of goal, but Dunk gets the slightest of touches to take it agonisingly away from Rodrigo, who would have had a tap-in!
3' The pitch at Elland Road isn't in great condition today, with plenty of gouges and furrows in the turf already.
1' We're underway at Elland Road!
Brighton are winless in their last nine Premier League games (D5 L4), the longest current run in the competition  this season.
This is the first top-flight meeting between Leeds and Brighton since May 1982, a 2-1 victory for Leeds at Elland Road. Leeds have never lost at home against Brighton in the top-flight (P3 W2 D1).
Brighton boss Graham Potter, meanwhile, makes just three alterations to the team that were beaten 1-0 by Manchester City in their last Premier League outing. March, Gross and Maupay come into the team ahead of Tau, Propper and Bernardo. The Seagulls' squad is ravaged by injury, with nine players on the treatment table.
Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa makes six changes to the rotated side that started in the humiliating 3-0 defeat against Crawley Town in the FA Cup last time out. Ayling, Dallas, Harrison, Klich, Raphinha and Bamford all start, in place of Davis, Shackleton, Hernandez, Poveda, Costa and the suspended Kalvin Phillips. First-choice goalkeeper Illan Meslier is out, along with Robin Koch, Gaetano Berardi and Adam Forshaw.
Brighton and Hove Albion substitutes: Percy Tau, Andi Zeqiri, Teddy Jenks, Davy Propper, Max Sanders, Reda Khadra, Yves Bissouma, Steven Alzate, Christian Walton.
Brighton and Hove Albion XI (3-4-2-1): Robert Sanchez; Adam Webster, Lewis Dunk, Dan Burn; Joel Veltman, Ben White, Pascal Gross, Solly March; Leandro Trossard, Alexis Mac Allister; Neal Maupay.
Leeds United substitutes: Elia Caprile, Tyler Roberts, Jack Jenkins, Helder Costa, Leif Davis, Pablo Hernandez, Jamie Shackleton, Ian Poveda-Ocampo, Diego Llorente.
Leeds United XI (3-3-3-1): Kiko Casilla; Luke Ayling, Pascal Struijk, Liam Cooper; Stuart Dallas, Mateusz Klich, Ezgjan Alioski; Jack Harrison, Rodrigo Moreno, Raphinha; Patrick Bamford.
Relegation-threatened Brighton will be desperate for a positive result as they take on newly-promoted Leeds, who have impressed since returning to the top flight.
