Celta will hope to up their game at Old Trafford next week - a single goal puts them right back in the tie. Be sure to join us for that! Have a great night.
FULL-TIME - Celta 0-1 United: An important away goal from Rashford puts Mourinho's side in the driving seat in this tie, with the hosts struggling to pierce the opposition's defence. They never looked like getting on the scoreboard, and it is a fine free-kick from Rashford that proves decisive in the first leg.
90' + 5' There is the final whistle! United take a step towards the Europa League final!
90' + 5' Jozabed delivers and only finds Fellaini, the Belgian heading it clear and that will surely be it!
90' + 4' Valencia raises a hand to fend off Aspas and the Spaniard drops to the floor clutching his face dramatically. The referee gives the visitors a free-kick and they will pump this into the box.
90' + 3' Lingard does well after Pogba breaks down a Celta attack, dribbling out to the right and drawing a foul from Jonny.
C. Beauvue
Hugo Mallo
Celta de Vigo
90' + 1' A late roll of the dice for Berizzo, who replaces captain Mallo with Beauvue.
90' + 1' We are going to have a minimum of five minutes added on at Balaidos.
C. Smalling
A. Young
Manchester United
89' After just over 10 minutes on the pitch, Young is replaced by Smalling - the centre-back making his first appearance since March.
88' Young is down holding his hamstring and the home fans are whistling again. However, it doesn't look like a time-wasting ploy, and that's going to be a source of real frustration for Mourinho.
86' ALMOST! The free-kick is nowhere near a shooting possession, wide on the left roughly 40 yards from goal, but Pogba spots Alvarez off his line and out of position. He tries to sneak a shot inside the near post and has the keeper scrambling, only for the ball to drop outside the upright.
P. Pogba
Yellow Card
Manchester United
85' Pogba is booked for time wasting while deliberating over what to do with a free-kick that Young did well to draw the foul for.
84' Fellaini gets a talking too after a clumsy challenge from Hernandez. He needs to be careful as he's already on a booking. Celta get on with it quickly and Sisto's delivery is headed onto Guidetti and behind by Bailly, who stooped to connect and took a hit as a result.
82' The home fans are getting annoyed by United's willingness to take their time over everything. However, Celta seem unable to get the ball down and keep it, making it easy for the visitors to wind down the clock.
A. Martial
M. Rashford
Manchester United
80' It's Rashford making way for Martial and he is limping as he makes his way across the pitch. The Celta players are not happy, with Cabral and Aspas among those frustrated by the seconds ticking away. Whistles rain down from the stands too, with the referee pointing out he will add the time on.
A. Young
H. Mkhitaryan
Manchester United
78' Here comes Young, taking Mkhitaryan's place. Martial has also been readied so we can expect to see him on the pitch shortly.
77' United continue to threaten on the break but Rashford is forced wide after Lingard rolls a pass in behind the defence. It looks as though Young is set to come on having been readied on the sidelines for a few minutes.
75' SO CLOSE! Mkhitaryan's shot deflects off Cabral and loops up kindly for Lingard. He slams the ball on the half-volley and arrows it narrowly wide! That would have been the most emphatic of finishes.
Jozabed
D. Wass
Celta de Vigo
74' Berizzo makes his first change, replacing Wass with Jozabed.
73' GREAT MOVE! Aspas plays a one-two with Guidetti and makes his way across the top of the box before feeding Jonny on the left side of the area. Rather than shoot he hesitates and sends a pass back inside for Aspas, who is unable to hit the target with the ball arriving at an awkward height.
72' OPTA STAT: Rashford's goal was his 19th of the season in all competitions, but his first from outside the box.
71' Aspas loses possession and United move it down the left, winning a corner which they take quickly. Mkhitaryan whips it straight into the arms of Alvarez and Celta are able to try and build something themselves.
69' Cabral tries his luck from 25 yards but Romero is happy his shot is always flying over. Will Celta push for an equaliser or look to hold the result and get an away goal at Old Trafford next week?
M. Rashford
Goal
Manchester United
67' GOOOOOOOAAAAL!! A STUNNER FROM RASHFORD! After winning the free-kick Rashford takes it himself, side-footing an effort over the wall and past Alvarez into the corner he was supposed to be protecting!
Hugo Mallo
Yellow Card
Celta de Vigo
66' Wass floats a left-wing corner to the back post and Romero strides off his line to claim it. United quickly apply pressure at the other end, with Rashford darting past Mallo who chops him down and gets shown a yellow.
64' Rashford has another opportunity to run at the Celta defence from the left wing but he is uanble to get beyond Mallo, who sticks in his legs and takes nothing but the ball.
62' What a waste from Rashford! The striker nips in front of Cabral and sprints away down the left. He has the likes of Lingard, Mkhitaryan and Fellaini in support but tries to go all the way himself, shanking a woeful attempt miles off target.
61' There's a break in play after Cabral goes down with what appears to be a head injury following a coming together with Fellaini as they challenged for a corner. He's back to his feet and rotating his shoulder, jogging back into position without receiving treatment. Guidetti has a few words for the referee in the aftermath.
59' SO CLOSE! Sisto has been lively tonight and once more he proves dangerous when cutting onto his right foot. He tries his luck with a shot from the edge of the box and a deflection off Silva forces Romero to backpedal and push it over. That was heading in!
58' Unsurprisingly things have been pretty cagey and tense since the restart, with Celta restricting the openings for United while struggling to make an impact on the break.
56' STAT: Mkhitaryan has scored in five of his last six Europa League games for United.
54' Valencia stretches his legs to offer an option to Lingard on the overlap and he is made use of. He makes a run towards the byline and a touch off the opposition gives United a corner. Rashford delivery is woeful and the ball is quickly back at the feet of Romero.
52' JUST WIDE! Wass chips an excellent delivery into the box that Aspas makes an excellent run to connect with. He gets in front of Bailly and his attempt to flick a header into the far corner bounces across the face of goal.
50' That's a poor effort from Pogba! The Frenchman is teed up from 25 yards by Lingard and his attempt to place a shot into the top-right corner ends up floating over.
49' There are whistles as United put together a run of passes on the right, even though they are unable to get anywhere with them. However, a more purposeful attack sees Rashford release Lingard, who powers a low cross back towards his team-mate at the near post. Roncaglia again intervenes, though.
47' Darmian's high foot on Aspas gives Celta a free-kick wide on the right which Wass pings to the near post. Neither Roncaglia nor Cabral can make clean contact with a header and United are able to remove the threat.
46' We are back underway!
HALF-TIME - Celta 0-0 United: Mourinho's side probably just about edged that half, with their control of midfield enabling them to break at pace and put Celta's defence under pressure. Rashford, Mkhitaryan and Lingard have had great chances to beat Alvarez, but the keeper was equal to them on each occasion to keep it goalless at the break.
45' Without a second of stoppage time, there is the half-time whistle!
44' Pogba has really looked a cut above in midfield tonight - he's proved far too powerful for Celta. Valencia gets away down the right and plays the ball back to Fellaini after just about keeping his footing following a challenge from Sisto. Fellaini's attempt to find Rashford at the near post with a cross is plucked down by Alvarez.
42' We are closing in on half-time and there still hasn't been a breakthrough. United certainly look more likely and they're upping the pressure ahead of the interval.
40' Guidetti digs out a cross from the left that Aspas leaps to meet at the back post, towering over Blind. His connection isn't great, though, and Romero is happy to dart off his line and collect the loose ball.
39' ALVAREZ TO THE RESCUE AGAIN! Rashford is not closed down 25 yards and he takes the opportunity to find Lingard. He tries to guide a first-time shot into the right side of the goal but Alvarez is there with a pair of hands once more!
37' Hernandez tracks back in a bid to keep Mkhitaryan from catch Celta short and he is penalised for a foul on the United midfielder. Mourinho's men fail to hold onto possession and relinquish it to Celta.
35' GREAT SAVE FROM ALVAREZ! Pogba again initiates a quick move forward from midfield. He charges past Radoja and slides a pass into the path of Mkhitaryan, who attempt to roll a shot across the goalkeeper and into the far corner is kept out by his legs.
M. Fellaini
Yellow Card
Manchester United
33' Fellaini is the first man into the book after a collision with Hernandez, who went down easily holding his head.
32' Pogba wins the ball in the centre circle and launches United on a swift break. Mkhitaryan dribbles towards the top of the box and supplies Rashford with a woeful pass that is cut out and cleared. The Armenian ought to have done better.
31' Celta are caught shot at the back and Mkhitaryan fires a low cross into the middle from the left. Cabral gets a touch on it which steers it towards Lingard, who is unable to adjust quickly enough to make a meaningful contact and trouble Alvarez.
30' While they may not be challenging for Europe in LaLiga, Celta have beaten Barcelona and held Real Madrid to a draw on this ground this season. Mallo launches a couple of long throws into the box that come to nothing and Sisto sees his low shot held by Romero.
28' Sisto plays a nice ball forward from the left for Wass to chase. The Dane is unable to outpace Darmian, coming across from left-back to deny him and enable Romero to come out and claim it.
26' United's front three are proving very fluid, popping up in different areas and coming deep to try and link the play. Mkhitaryan tries to release Fellaini but his pass is cut out, though Guidetti is unable to punish the visitors on the break as his touch evades him.
24' It's been a pretty tight affair so far, with chances at both ends and neither side really getting a stranglehold on the match just yet. United will surely want to make the breakthrough as early as possible, because Celta will be growing in confidence the longer it remains goalless.
22' Sisto dribbles at Valencia before shifting the ball onto his right foot and firing a snapshot towards the near post. He doesn't catch it well and the attempt skids wide of Romero's upright.
20' WHAT A SAVE! Rashford cuts in from the left and takes his time to wait for a shooting opportunity to arise. He bends a sublime effort towards the top-right corner but a Alvarez springs to his left and pushes it behind for a corner with a strong hand!
19' Darmian, Lingard and Mkhitaryan attempt to link up in a triangle on the left but there's no route through the Celta defence for them. Berizzo's men attempt to counter-attack and Bailly shows great awareness to collect a dangerous pass down the right for Aspas.
17' Pogba is unfortunate not to win a free-kick in a dangerous position after a powerful run through the heart of the midfield. He looks to knock the ball around Roncaglia and get into the box, going to ground following a block by the defender. Referee Sergey Karasev lets play continue, much to the Frenchman's bemusement.
16' Guidetti catches Bailly in possession on the left and dribbles towards the box before moving the ball on to Aspas. He tries to work space for a shot but instead tees up Wass, but the Dane does not fare any better and Celta are forced to go backwards and reset.
15' FACT: Celta have lost their last three European matches against English sides, their last such victory coming against Aston Villa in 2000.
13' That's a clear warning for United that they cannot take it easy at Balaidos. Darmian and Aspas clash on the near side and the former Liverpool man isn't happy, pointing to a mark on his socks while complaining to the referee. Celta get the free-kick, and Darmian is given a short talking to by the official.
11' WHAT A CHANCE! CELTA SHOULD BE AHEAD! A throw-in from the right ends up at the feet of Radoja and he floats an excellent delivery to the back post. Wass is left unmarked and gets a free-header, angling it across goal and missing the target!
9' Mkhitaryan slides an excellent pass down the left-hand channel for Rashford, drawing Roncaglia across to cover. The Argentine stops the United striker getting a cross in and the ball ricochets back off Rashford to deny the visitors a corner.
7' Celta build their first attack of the evening with Sisto stabbing a pass into Guidetti. He controls on his chest with his back to goal and drills a first-time pass behind the United defence on the spin. There's no team-mate in the vicinity, though, and it's a goal-kick to Romero.
5' Lingard offloads to Rashford on the left-hand side of the box and his attempt to curl a shot towards the far corner is blocked by the two Celta defenders watching him closely. The rebound falls to Mkhitaryan who slices it across the box, with the attack eventually breaking down.
3' Fellaini and Pogba are pressing high when Celta get in possession. Valencia sends a long pass down the right looking for the Belgian but Jonny mops up and sends the ball back to Alvarez.
1' United get the ball rolling in Galicia!
Kick-off is just a few minutes away! United will be looking to take a big step towards winning this trophy for the first time in their history, while Celta will be keen to ensure their deepest run in a major UEFA competition is extended.
It seems the winner of this tie is likely to face Ajax in the final after the Dutch side thumped Lyon 4-1 in their first leg in Amsterdam last night. The Ligue 1 outfit cannot be discounted just yet, of course, but Peter Bosz's men managed a spirited comeback away from home and with 10 men to progress at the expense of Schalke in the previous round.
Pogba is back from a hamstring injury, as expected, and slots into central midfield. Bailly is fit to start in the heart of defence despite going off in the second half of the draw with Swansea City at the weekend, while Chris Smalling is on the bench following over a month out with a knee problem.
Manchester United bench: David de Gea, Chris Smalling, Michael Carrick, Ashley Young, Juan Mata, Wayne Rooney, Anthony Martial.
Manchester United (4-3-3): Sergio Romero; Antonio Valencia, Eric Bailly, Daley Blind, Matteo Darmian; Ander Herrera, Marouane Fellaini, Paul Pogba; Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford, Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Celta Vigo bench: Ivan Villar, Sergi Gomez, Andreu Fontas, Jozabed, Theo Bongonda, Claudio Beauvue.
Celta Vigo (4-3-3): Sergio Alvarez; Hugo Mallo, Gustavo Cabral, Facundo Roncaglia, Jonny; Daniel Wass, Nemanja Radoja, Pablo Hernandez; Iago Aspas, John Guidetti, Pione Sisto.
The teams have been announced, and there's a big boost for United...
Celta having nothing left to play for in LaLiga so all their focus has been on this tie since eliminating Genk in the quarter-finals. Eduardo Berizzo has heavily rotated his side in the three top-flight matches since, and, although they suffered defeat in each of those games, they will be feeling fresh and confident in front of their own fans.
United boss Jose Mourinho has made no attempt to hide the fact he sees winning the Europa League as the club's best chance of attaining a place in next season's Champions League, suggesting he could rest players for the Premier League match against Arsenal at the weekend if required. He'll be hoping for a comfortable first-leg advantage so it doesn't come to that, though.
It's a huge night at Balaidos, with Celta Vigo entertaining Manchester United in the first leg of a Europa League semi-final! A place in the Stockholm showdown is at stake and you can follow all the action as it happens right here.
