So far, Chiefs have only officially announced the signings of goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari and defenders Rushwin Dortley and Bongani Sam.&nbsp; Despite expectations of a major overhaul, coach Nabi has shed light on the challenges the club faces in bringing in new talent.

WHAT HAPPENED?

“Looking at the market it is very tight and closed, a lot of clubs do not want to release their players to us, they don’t want to sell their players to us,” he told SuperSport TV.“However, we’re still gonna have to look and find the right player, that we gonna put on the field and give us a plus,” he concluded.

WHAT NABI SAID?

Though Nabi has expressed frustration with the club's situation, Chiefs remain undeterred in their quest for quality players. Earlier on Friday, social media buzzed with <a href="https://x.com/A_B_Ditlhobolo/status/1819305938714538254" target="_blank">images</a> of former Mamelodi Sundowns star Gaston Sirino spotted at Chiefs' village, where he is expected to be announced soon.

As Nabi focuses on building his team, he also faces the task of preparing his current squad for the 2024-25 season.With Chiefs not participating in the MTN 8 competition, he has some extra time to ready the team before the Premier Soccer League kicks off on September 14.
