    #1 Baroka FC

Baroka started off the season well, but they find themselves seventh on the PSL log with less than eight games to go. They are in with a chance to finish inside the top eight teams, but they have some tough matches line-up. Baroka will come up against Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns, SuperSport United, Ajax Cape Town, Maritzburg United, Bloemfontein Celtic and Platinum Stars in no particular order. Among the teams mentioned, some are challenging for the league and others find themselves at the bottom of the log and in danger of going down.

    #2 Bloemfontein Celtic

Phunya Sele Sele still have to face the top four teams in the remaining seven matches of the campaign. Surely, teams Sundowns, Maritzburg United, Free State Stars and Orlando Pirates are going to test their character as a team. They still have to play top eight rivals Baroka, AmaZulu as well as Chippa United. That's a tough run-in for Veselin Jelusic's men.

    #3 Chippa United

The next six matches are certainly not going to be any easier for the Chilli Boys, but they can take solace from the fact they have always done well against the bug guns. Next up for them is Mamelodi Sundowns and then Kaizer Chiefs. They still have to face Celtic as well as Ajax Cape Town and SuperSport United, who are both scrambling for points at the bottom of the log. They will visit Polokwane City on the final day of the season, but all should be settled at the time.

    #4 Bidvest Wits

The Students are one of the teams on the rise, and their chances of finishing inside the top eight teams continue to increase game by game because they are winning consistently. Being involved in the Caf Confederation Cup could be hamper their progress, but they know that they hold a key in who will win the PSL title, as they still have to play Sundowns and Pirates. They could also decide the fate of who gets relegated because they have both Platinum Stars and Ajax Cape Town on the menu. However, it is their game against AmaZulu which could be the determining factor because both clubs want to finish inside the top eight.

    #5 AmaZulu

Usuthu face a tough run-in for a place in the top eight, especially because they still have to play Pirates, Bidvest Wits and Cape Town City among other teams. Perhaps they can hold their own against the likes of Platinum Stars and Ajax Cape Town, who are both fighting for their lives at the bottom of the log. Their game against Bloem Celtic on April 8 will determine how serious they are about finishing in the top eight.
