Saturday’s goal to seal Brighton &amp; Hove Albion’s 3-0 thrashing of Wolverhampton Wanderers was a collector’s item.It was the Mali midfielder’s first goal of the season…at his 20th attempt. Having taken 19 shots preceding his 86th-minute effort, Brighton supporters and indeed the player will hope he does not have to wait too long for his next Premier League strike.

Chukwueze halved the deficit for Villarreal away at Alaves with a solo strike right after half-time but it was not enough for a comeback as the Yellow Submarine lost 2-1.It was the winger’s first La Liga goal since late December and his third in the entirety of the campaign.Interestingly, the Nigerian’s 90-minute runout was only the second time in 2021/22 that Unai Emery would keep him on for the whole game.The wideman is obviously in favour at the moment, a situation he hopes persists in the final weeks of the season.

Another setback for Sevilla at the weekend saw them drop points at home to Cadiz, with Friday’s encounter ending 1-1.Having said that, the game saw a continuation of a Bono statistic many might have missed.The Morocco international made two saves on the night, extending a run that has seen called upon in all but one outing this season, coming way back in gameweek two.Bono has now failed to keep a clean sheet in six games.

Hakimi netted his fourth Ligue 1 goal of the season in Paris Saint-Germain’s 3-3 draw with Strasbourg, ending a seven-month run without scoring.It was the longest spell without finding the back of the net for the wide defender, and he will strive to contribute consistently henceforth.Hakimi’s goal takes him to 10 goal involvements (six assists) in his debut season in the league.
