Across the Saudi Pro League, clubs are working hard to strengthen their squads. Some want to protect the gains of the 2025-2026 season. Others are desperate to climb back onto the podium.
AFPFanatik have revealed the latest twist: Jeddah giants Al-Ahli have tabled an official offer to Fenerbahce for one of the Turkish club's biggest stars this summer.
The man in their sights is Turkey international Kerem Akturkoglu. At 27, he is equally comfortable on either flank.
According to the newspaper, Al-Ahli have valued their move for Akturkoglu at 35 million euros, roughly 150 million Saudi riyals.
Getty Images SportIt is not over yet. "Fanatik" have shed light on where Fenerbahce stand over Al-Ahli's bid to sign international winger Kerem Akturkoglu this summer, with the Jeddah giants pushing to land the Turkey international.
According to the newspaper, Fenerbahce's board welcome the offer and look set to accept it, clearing the way for the player to join Al-Ahli.
One question remains. Akturkoglu himself must decide whether he fancies a move to Saudi Arabia before the deal can be sealed.
Getty Images SportElsewhere, "fanatik" report that Al-Ittihad and Al-Qadsiah are battling to land Moroccan star Sofyan Amrabat in this summer's transfer window.
Al-Qadsiah are willing to pay a sum estimated at 20 million euros "86 million Saudi riyals" to wrap up the Amrabat deal, according to the newspaper.
The report added: "It appears that Al-Ittihad is preparing a similar offer to snatch the Moroccan star's signature ahead of their compatriots Al-Qadsiah."
Fenerbahce's board will weigh up the Saudi offers alongside the technical staff before deciding Amrabat's future, whether to keep him or let him go.

AFPTurkey winger Kerem Aktürkoğlu, 27, has been at Fenerbahçe since the summer of 2025, when the Turkish club signed him from Portuguese giants Benfica for 22.5 million euros.
He made his mark last season. Across 44 official matches in various competitions in 2025-2026, Aktürkoğlu scored 15 goals and set up 10 more.
Moroccan midfielder Sofyan Amrabat, meanwhile, has been on Fenerbahçe's books since the summer of 2024, arriving from Italian side Fiorentina.
Last season told a different story. Amrabat spent 2025-2026 out on loan at Spanish outfit Real Betis, where he featured in 23 official matches across various competitions and managed just a single goal.
