The 19-year-old died on Saturday and Mosimane has admitted Andries charmed him and he grew an interest in the player.
As Andries continued to develop since making his Premier Soccer League debut in December 2021, and he enjoyed more game time this season, making eight league appearances, including five starts.
He last featured in a competitive match when he started in the 3-2 win over Cape Town City on January 27.
Mosimane says he even summoned his analysts to track the South Africa Under-20 captain.
Tributes continued to pour in for Andries as the South African football fraternity was plunged into mourning.
