Made it two clean sheets in a row with a great performance.Mpontshane commanded his area - dealing very well with aerial balls as Bucs were bombarded with crosses by the hosts and he also pulled off a fantastic save to deny Brandon Debah after his defence was exposed.

GOALKEEPER - Siyabonga Mpontshane - 8/10

Endured a slow start to the game as he was roughhoused a few times by the Oilers players.However, Mabaso dealt well with the threat from the hosts after the restart and he began venturing forward.

Abel Mabaso - 6/10

Showed a lot of commitment by fighting immensely for the ball.Whenever Mako won the possession he looked to push forward and his delivery into the hosts' box was good.

Paseka Mako - 7/10

A workhorse in defence as the team captain once again.Nyauza was able to frustrate the Oilers strikers with his positioning and excellent reading of the game, making important clearances and tackles.

Ntsikelelo Nyauza - 7/10

Unlucky to concede a penalty after he was adjudged to have handled the ball in the box.Mngonyama didn't look confident while dealing with the Oilers' forwards, but posed a big threat in the air from set-pieces.

The heartbeat of Pirates' midfield.Motshwari was composed, tidy in possession, while also providing good cover for Fortune Makaringe when the latter pushed forward.

Ben Motshwari - 7/10

A thorn in the Oilers' face throughout the game.Makaringe showed his special ability in running into pockets of space and making several line-breaking passes. He sealed Pirates' 2-0 win after he timed his run well and scored with a header.

Worked hard on his return to the starting line-upMntambo's his speed and link-up play created problems for the Oil Boys' defence and also came close to scoring from close range.

Linda Mntambo - 7/10

A constant threat to the Oilers defence in the first-half.Hotto's quality crosses from the left flank unsettled the hosts' defence, but his influence waned off after the restart and he was replaced by Frank Mhango.

Deon Hotto - 6/10

Pirates' creative specialist in the first-half.Dzvukamanja created numerous chances for his teammates and he was involved in the build up to Tshegofatso Mabasa's goal before being surprisingly being substituted at half-time.

Terrence Dzvukamanja - 7/10

Marked his return to the starting line-up with a goal.Mabasa showed his predatory instincts when he pounced and scored from close range, before being substituted a few minutes after the restart.

Tshegofatso Mabasa - 7/10

Came on at half-time and he became a livewire on the left flank which saw him grab an assist when his delightful cross was headed home by Makaringe.

Bongani Sam - 7/10 

Introduced in the 64th minute and he always looked to push Pirates forward with his accurate passes on the night.

Thabang Monare - 6/10

Largely anonymous in the game after being introduced in the 64th minute.

Collins Makgaka - 5/10

A lively attacking presence after coming on in the 77th minute as Mhango showed off his dribbling skills and he was involved in the build up to Pirates' second goal.
