    Denis Onyango - 6/10

Couldn't keep out Maniema's two goals after being let down by his defence.

Besides those two moments, Onyango had very little to do all match with hosts failing to keep most of their shots on target.

  2. Khuliso Mudau, Mamelodi Sundowns, May 2021

    Khuliso Mudau - 5/10

Always a step away from disaster with Maniema launching most of their attacks in his flank.

Mudau should have done better to stop Tenda Mukuila from scoring from his flank, but he looked threatening when he made his overlapping runs.

  3. Lyle Lakay, Mamelodi Sundowns, November 2020

    Lyle Lakay - 6/10

His attacking output wasn't as good as it usually is after he returned to his natural position as a left-back.

However, Mudau made up for that with a good performance in defence as he timed his tackles well.

  4. Mosa Lebusa, Mamelodi Sundowns, May 2021

    Musa Lebusa - 4/10

Endured an awful game on his return to the starting line-up.

Lebusa failed to cope with Maniema's pressure when Downs were defending and he gave away the ball which led to Kitwa Kalowa making it 1-1.

  5. Brian Mandela of Kenya and Mamelodi Sundowns.
    Mamelodi Sundowns.

    Brian Mandela - 6/10

Looked unsettled early on as he also made his return to the team.

However, Mandela was able to regain his composure and kept getting better as the match wore which saw him make some vital clearances and interceptions.

  6. Rivaldo Coetzee, Mamelodi Sundowns, August 2021

    Rivaldo Coetzee - 7/10

Played a key role in defending against the Green and Blacks.

Coetzee helped Masandawana win back possession in midfield and his passes were good as usual.

  7. Andile Jali, Mamelodi Sundowns, September 2021

    Andile Jali - 6/10

Struggled in the first half, but he found his feet after the start.

Jali was tidy in possession and he passed the ball around well until he was replaced by the forgotten George Maluleka.

  8. Themba Zwane, Mamelodi Sundowns, November 2020

    Themba Zwane - 8/10

Excellent throughout as he unsettled the Maniema defence with his incisive passes.

Furthermore, Zwane showed incredible pace and trickery on the ball, while also impressing with his finishing ability when he scored twice.

  9. Thabiso Kutumela Sundowns

    Thabiso Kutumela - 5/10

A quiet game for the forward, who was tightly marked by the Maniema defence.

Kutumela rarely threatened the home side and he was subbed off after the hour-mark for Sibusiso Vilakazi.

  10. Peter Shalulile, Mamelodi Sundowns, December 2020

    Peter Shalulile - 7/10

Worked hard to regain possession and made some dangerous runs.

Shalulile also linked up well with Zwane to work a few openings which saw goalkeeper Brudel Efonge foul him and Downs were awarded a penalty.

  11. Pavol Safranko, Mamelodi Sundowns, August 2021

    Pavol Safranko - 5/10

Led the attack on his debut in Africa's Champions League.

However, Safranko clearly struggled with the hosts doing a good job to keep him quiet and he was replaced by Sphelele Mkhulise.

  12. Sibusiso Vilakazi, Mamelodi Sundowns, May 2021

    Sibusiso Vilakazi - 7/10

Kept the Maniema defenders busy with his movements inside the area after coming on in the 67th minute and he grabbed an assist.
  13. Sphelele Mkhulise, Mamelodi Sundowns, December 2020

    Sphelele Mkhulise - 5/10

Replaced the ineffective Safranko in the 67th minute, but Mkhulise didn't fare any better as he lacked creativity in the final third.

  14. George Maluleka, Mamelodi Sundowns, January 2021

    George Maluleka - 5/10

Introduced in the 80th minute and he fought hard to win the ball, but he couldn't conjure anything meaningful when in possession.
