The 24-year-old has grown in leaps and bounds since he made his top-flight debut during the 2019/20 season and he is now Stellenbosch FC's first-choice striker.

A mobile and skilful forward, who has an eye for goals having scored five times from 13 league starts this term including a wonderful long-range strike which inspired Stellies to a 1-0 win over Chiefs on November 11.

Du Preez is also blessed with creativity skills having provided two assists. Chiefs were credited with an interest in Du Preez prior to the start of the current campaign, but he stayed put at Stellies.
