Zaha hopeful over new Crystal Palace deal after Chelsea rumours

Wilfried Zaha maintains he is fully committed to Crystal Palace as he continues to negotiate with the club over a new contract.

The 25-year-old forward joined Palace from Manchester United three years ago and remains contracted to the London side until 2022.

Zaha had been linked to Chelsea and Tottenham towards the end of the summer transfer window but no move materialised and he went on to help Palace to a win over Fulham in their first Premier League game of the season, scoring their second in a 2-0 win.

Rather than hope for a transfer in January or next summer, though, the Ivory Coast international hopes to keep up his performances and extend his stay at Selhurst Park.

"It makes no difference to me because I had my head down anyway," he told Sky Sports when asked about the speculation over interest from elsewhere in England

"All that stuff was not going to affect me or how the team were playing. Whatever happens, happens.

"But I'm all Palace - and you can see on the pitch that all I think about is the team doing well.

"We are still speaking about [a new contract], still negotiating, whatever. Just going to see if we can come to an agreement."

After his nine-goal season in the Premier League, Zaha hopes to improve his record this year and prove any remaining doubters wrong.

"The main thing for me is scoring goals," he added. "Everyone talks about 'no end product, no end product'. Well, tell me now."

Zaha has made 288 appearances for Palace in all competitions, scoring 44 times.
