Wazito FC, against all odds, collected maximum points after defeating AFC Leopards on Wednesday.
Alex Orotomal opened the scoring for the visitors before former Mathare United man Derrick Onyango equalized, and when it seemed the match was headed for a draw, David Osewe banged in what turned out to be the winner. Head coach Frank Ouna has revealed what he did to ensure his team gets maximum points.
“Our main problem has been in the defense; we have been scoring goals but conceding has been an issue. That is what we had to fix against Leopards, I had a word with my defenders, and I am happy that we did not concede many goals as we usually do, and at the end we got maximum points.
“There is no short-cut, to stay in the league we have to win our remaining matches, it is the only way,” Ouna told Goal.
It was a second consecutive loss for Leopards, who had lost 2-0 against Gor Mahia.
