Will we see heroics from Haaland at Anfield or more Ronaldo brilliance on the big stage? Will Gundogan and Moura shine for Manchester City and Spurs?

The UEFA Champions League is back in full swing this week, with Matchday 2 boasting a number of tantalising clashes, whetting the appetite of supporters across Europe.

There were some eye-catching performances on Matchday 1 from some of the finest Movers & Makers competing in Europe's premier club competition; none more so than FC Salzburg's leading man Erling Braut Haaland, who became the third-youngest player behind Raul and Wayne Rooney to plunder a UCL hat-trick when he bagged a wonderful treble against Genk.

Young dynamo Haaland will be hoping to live up to the hype generated by his wonderful performances against current champions Liverpool on Wednesday, while a more seasoned, experienced forward will be out to carry on his quite astonishing UCL record.

Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 20 goals in his last 13 UCL home games for Juve and former club Real Madrid respectively. The legendary Portuguese is no doubt intent on improving his run against Bayer Leverkusen, who completed more than 10+ pass sequences (30) on MD1; though they still slumped to a 2-1 defeat by Lokomotiv Moscow.

Elsewhere, Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan finished off a move containing 20 passes with a goal as the Premier League champions secured a 3-0 victory over Shakhtar Donetsk on MD1; the most of any team during the opening week of the competition.

With City perhaps unsurprisingly leading the way for build-up attacks, with 10, expect Gundogan et al to get up to their passing tricks against Dinamo Zagreb on Tuesday evening.

Another English team hoping to clinch three precious UCL points this midweek is Tottenham, who will hope for more European magic from Lucas Moura. The Brazilian winger struck for Spurs in their opening-game draw with Olympiacos last time out; his fourth UCL goal in three matches.
