The Northern Blues' manager is crying foul after his side lost to the Phobians in the semi-finals of the FA Cup

Wa All Stars head coach Alhaji Mumuni Sakpari has hit out at referee Reginald Lathbridge after his side's 2-1 defeat in the semi-finals of the FA Cup to Hearts of Oak at the Len Clay Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The league holders saw their wonderful run in the cup competition come to an end after Patrick Razak and Kwame Kizito scored a goal each for Hearts, before substitute Samuel Atta Mensah got the equaliser late in the game.

"I don't understand the behaviour of certain officials in this country. The referee frustrated my players with cautions which I think Hearts of Oak equally committed the same offences but they weren't punished," Sakpari told the media.

"From what I know, as a referee, you always have to carry the Fifa's motto to every game you officiate, which is fair play. But we didn't see that in the game against Hearts. My boys were of the view that the referee was with Hearts and the moment that comes into your mind, you have a divided mind.

"I think it's about time our officiating officials move away from the two most glamorous clubs thing and follow the rules because we're all in the premiership. It shouldn't always be Asante Kotoko or Hearts final. No team should be aided by officiating officials because it is very bad," he added.

Hearts will face the winner of the second semi-final between Kotoko and Medeama which was suspended due to rains. The game is expected to be replayed on Monday at 15h00GMT.
