Veracruz will play its Round 10 home match in an empty Estadio Luis "Pirata" Fuente, while Tigres coach Ricardo "Tuca" Ferretti will be suspended for the next two games, the Liga MX Disciplinary Committee announced Monday.
Eugenio Rivas, the president of the disciplinary body, announced those sanctions, plus economic penalties for both teams, as part of a joint news conference with league president Enrique Bonilla as the league handed down penalties for the fracas that broke out between Veracruz fans and visiting Tigres supporters after a 3-0 road victory on Feb. 17.

As the Tigres fans came under attack, Ferretti and several Tigres players ran over to the end where the violence was taken place and demanded police officers on the field get involved in resolving the situation, largely without success.
"Every party needs to be self-critical, and when I say this I'm referring to the league, to the clubs and the authorities." Bonilla said. "For Liga MX, we should realized that we didn't apply the established protocols. We didn't act in a preventative way in the stands, and we were overtaken by the acts at the end of the match.
"The clubs didn't take the necessary measures to develop the game in this way. The home team didn't take the necessary measures for a game with 25,000 fans. There weren't enough security guards, who are responsible for taking care of public integrity, in the building."
Veracruz's Round 10 match against Puebla will be closed-door, the first time Liga MX has banned fans from entering since Atlas fans were kept out for the first two games of the 2016 Apertura because of a pitch invasion in the 2016 Clausura quarterfinals.
“I’m going to accept what they determine. The directors are the ones who will have to answer all the questions,” Ferretti said in a news conference Monday.
Ferretti will serve his ban during Tigres' next two matches, at Puebla and at home to Chivas.
