In the midst of widespread protests following Donald Trump's executive order banning citizens from seven Muslim-majority countries as well as all refugees from entering the United States, American captain Michael Bradley has spoken out about the controversial decree.
First speaking to Fox's Grant Wahl before taking to his own Instagram account, Bradley denounced Trump's executive order, stating that the move is "just the latest example of someone who couldn't be more out of touch with our country and the right way to move forward."
Bradley, who also serves as captain of club side Toronto FC, had spoken to Wahl on Saturday night ahead of a Sunday friendly against Serbia. In his Instagram post, Bradley said that he was "too soft" when answering Wahl's question on Trump's latest controversial action.
The so-called "Muslim ban" was granted an emergency stay by an American federal judge on Saturday, at least temporarily halting the deportation of scores of people.
