Ugandan midfielder Shafik Batambuze pens two-year deal with Gor Mahia

Batambuze comes with a wealth of experience for both the KPL as well as the regional leagues

Ugandan midfielder Shafik Batambuze has signed a two-year deal with Kenyan Premier League champions Gor Mahia.

The much-traveled Ugandan is expected to add depth in K’Ogalo's rank ahead of what promises to be a tough season as Gor Mahia prepares to defend the title as well as a chance to better their Caf Champions League performance.

“The deal is done. We have handed him a two-year deal,” Gor Mahia CEO Omondi Aduda told Goal .

Batambuze comes with a wealth of experience for both the KPL as well as the regional leagues. The midfielder has previously featured for Tusker, Sofapaka, Muhoroni Youth and Western Stima in the KPL.

Regionally, Batambuze has played for Tanzanian giants Simba SC, Singida United as well as Uganda’s SC Villa
