But you’d struggle to find a more spectacular backdrop to the final leg of the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca Cola than this.

Tokyo set the incredible scenery this week as the biggest prize in all of sports spent two marvellous days in the Japanese capital before making its final stop in Osaka.

In 2018, Japan will taking part in their sixth World Cup final tournament and the fans were out in force to see the trophy.

And they were joined in Tokyo by 2002-winner Gilberto Silva, who couldn’t hide his pride at the chance to relive the crowning moment of his glittering career.

“It’s great to see the trophy once again, to be so close to it and touch it again,” said the former Brazil international.

“I’m very proud to represent Brazil here in this trophy tour.”

The trophy moved on to Osaka on Sunday where it will spend the final 48 hours of the tour before returning to Russia ahead of FIFA World Cup 2018.
