Liverpool unlikely to meet Alisson price

Liverpool are unlikely to meet Roma’s £80 million ($107m) asking price for goalkeeper Alisson, reports  Sky Sports .

Instead, the Brazil international is much more likely to land at Real Madrid, though the Champions League winners are also interested in Thibaut Courtois.

If Courtois does make the move to the Spanish capital, then Chelsea would go in for Alisson.

Man United considering Alderweireld alternatives

Manchester United are not fully convinced by Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld and do not have him at the top of their shortlist, according to the Manchester Evening News .

Scouts have questioned the defender’s profile, and United are said to value Alderweireld at about £20 million less than the Spurs asking price of £70m ($93m).

Raphael Varane, Jerome Boateng, Kalidou Koulibaly, Milan Skriniar, Alessio Romagnoli, Jose Gimenez and Caglar Soyuncu are all prospective targets for the club as they consider centre-back a top priority this summer.

Cillessen wants Barca exit

Jasper Cillessen wants to leave Barcelona this summer, reports Sport .

The Dutchman is the current back-up goalkeeper at Camp Nou, behind Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, and wants the No.1 shirt.

Thus, he has communicated his desire to leave, with Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and Napoli all interested in securing his signature.

Chinese auction for Hamsik

A number of Chinese clubs are keen to sign Marek Hamsik from Napoli, according to Corriere dello Sport .

The long-serving midfielder has been monitored by Guangzhou R&F, as well as Guangzhou Evergrande, though any deal is likely to wait until after the World Cup.

Real Madrid close in on Rodrygo

Real Madrid are close to securing the signing of Santos wonderkid Rodrygo, reports AS .

Rodrygo has scored six goals and provided two assists in just 15 appearances at the age of 17, and Real have subsequently made a bid of €45 million (£39m/$53m) for the left winger.

However, he will not be able to head to Spain until he turns 19, in 2020.

Lille target Remy & Torres

Lille have targeted Loic Remy and Fernando Torres as they look to sign a new forward this summer, per France Football .

Remy is currently contracted at Las Palmas, having spent a portion of the 2017-18 season at Getafe, but Lille believe he may be tempted to return to his native France, having previously played for Nice, Lens, Marseille and Lyon.

Should a deal for the former Chelsea forward fall through, the Ligue 1 club are also monitoring Torres, who is a free agent after his departure from Atletico Madrid. He is, however, understood to be in negotiations with Japanese club Sagan Tosu.

Nainggolan agrees terms with Inter

Radja Nainggolan has agreed terms with Inter ahead of a potential move from Roma, according to Gazzetta dello Sport .

Inter have yet to strike a deal with Roma, however, with the Belgium international's current employers demanding €40 million.

Kovacic likely to depart Real Madrid

Mateo Kovacic is likely to depart Real Madrid following Zinedine Zidane’s exit, according to AS .

The midfielder’s final decision will rest on who the club’s next coach is after Zidane blocked his exit midseason in the face of a €75 million (£66m/$88m) offer from Juventus.

And Juventus are monitoring the situation once more, having contacted Kovacic, but not Madrid.

Silva doesn’t want Rooney at Everton

New Everton manager Marco Silva has decided he does not want Wayne Rooney at Everton next season, reports the Mirror .

But Silva has decided he wants Rooney to move on, with Norwich’s James Maddison his preferred replacement.

Rafinha could be part of Barca’s Eriksen deal

Barcelona could use Tottenham’s interest in Rafinha to secure the signing of Christian Eriksen, claims  Sport .

Rafinha spent the second half of the season on loan at Inter, but the Serie A side have not activated his purchase option of €35 million (£31m/$41m).

The midfielder isn’t part of Barca's plans, so the Catalans could use Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino’s interest in Rafinha and include him as part of a deal to land Eriksen.

Liverpool to turn to Shaqiri

Liverpool will turn their attention to trying to land Stoke City midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri after the World Cup, according to the Mirror .

The Switzerland international is keen on a move to the Reds and the Premier League club is expected to land the 26-year-old as long as recently relegated Stoke are reasonable in their demands.

However, Shaqiri is not considered an alternative to Nabil Fekir, whose move to Anfield may not be completely dead as Lyon look into ways to revive the transfer.

Rashford to discuss Man Utd extension

Marcus Rashford’s representatives and Manchester United will look to discuss extending the youngster’s contract after the World Cup, report the Sun .

Rashford has two years left on his deal, but United are keen to raise his wages from £80,000-per-week up to £130,000-per-week once some of the higher earners are cleared off the books.

The England international’s people would like to see what Jose Mourinho does in the market but are willing to sit down with the club regardless.

Barcelona contact Ajax over De Jong

Barcelona have contacted Ajax over Frenkie de Jong with the midfielder interested in a move to the La Liga champions, report AS .

Ajax have told Barcelona the player is not for sale, however there has been movement toward bringing in replacements, suggesting they may be willing to deal.

Barcelona would prefer the move tied up for next season, but Ajax would like de Jong to remain on loan with them for another season.

Alisson happy at Roma

Reports of heavy interest in goalkeeper Alisson continue, but the Brazil international is “very happy at Roma," according to his international predecessor Claudio Taffarel.

Taffarel said Alisson would be content to remain at the Serie A club, and that transfer talk is nothing more than rumours at this point.
