Super Falcons commence preparation for Wafu Women's Cup

Thomas Dennerby's ladies will begin preparation in Abuja on Friday for this month's regional championship in Abidjan

Nigeria women senior women team will commence preparation on Friday for this month's West African Football Union Women's Cup tournament in Abidjan.

The Super Falcons were zoned in Group B alongside Benin Republic, Togo and Senegal and are expected to be ready in time for the women's tournament in less than two-week.

And new head coach Thomas Dennerby has invited 35 players on Wednesday as he hopes to begin his reign in the maiden regional tourney scheduled to hold from February 14 - 24.

The 35-woman list dominated by Falconets' stars including Rasheedat Ajibade and Kemi Famuditi as well as experienced legs like Joy Jegede and Osas Igbinovia.

The invited players are expected at the Serob Legacy Hotel, Wuye, Abuja on Thursday before beginning their training activities on Friday morning.

They will begin their campaign at the first-ever women's championship in the sub-Saharan against Benin Republic on February 15 at the Robert Champroux stadium.
