Former Ulinzi Stars striker, Stephen Waruru has confirmed his next destination after ditching the Army side.
Waruru who’s future has been shrouded with uncertainty after former champions, Tusker included his name on the list of their new signings, just days after Sofapaka had announced his acquisition, has confirmed that he’s a Sofapaka player.
“It’s official, now I am a Sofapaka Fc player,” Waruru took to his Facebook page to clear the air.
Waruru inked a two-year deal with Batoto Ba Mungu after mixed season with Ulinzi.
Waruru who finished as the club top scorer last season, found playing time hard to come by after he accused some officials of the club of sabotaging his dream.
Ulinzi has since made changes to their technical bench with Coach Benjamin Nyangweso being replaced by Dunstan Nyaudo.
Nyangweso has been redeployed to military duties.
