However, fans hoping to catch a glimpse of Barcelona star Lionel Messi at the National Stadium will most probably be disappointed, as he is currently serving a four-match suspension for verbally abusing a match official.

According to the report, the friendly match will take place three days after the Lions' second Asian Cup qualification group match against Chinese Taipei, also played at home on June 10.

The date of the Chinese Taipei match also had to be moved, as it had originally been scheduled on the date of the Argentina friendly.
