Sheyi Ojo scores as Fulham edge Barnsley

Sheyi Ojo was on target as Fulham Fulham secured a 2-1 victory over Barnsley in Saturday's Championship tie.

The Liverpool loanee increased his tally to three goals in 12 league appearances this campaign as Slavisa Jokanovic's men grabbed their eighth league win in the 2017-18 season.

It was a cagey affair before the interval as both teams failed to break the deadlock at the Craven Cottage.

After the restart, Togo international Floyd Ayite fired the hosts ahead in the 54th minutes before Tom Bradshaw headed home a leveller for Barnsley, 14 minutes later.

In what was turning out to be a draw, Ojo restored the Cottagers' lead in the 72nd minute with a stunning cross that looped over goalkeeper Adam Davies.

DR Congo's Neeskens Kebano was introduced for Ayite in the 70th minute while Ojo who was shown a yellow card in the 28th minute was replaced by Oliver Norwood in the 87th minute.

This makes it three consecutive home wins for Fulham who are placed 11th in the second tier of the English league with 32 points from 23 games.

They visit Cardiff City for their next league outing on Boxing Day.
