AFC Leopards head coach Rodolfo Zapata says his team is not yet where he wants it to be.

The Argentine led the twelve-time league champions to a 2-1 win over Mathare United on Sunday as they continued with their push for the top three finish at the end of the season.

Zapata is confident that the team will be better at the end of the season, if it stays together and continues working harder.

“The players gave absolutely everything in our match against Mathare United, it was not going to be an easy outing. The passion was there and the will to push for the win and at the end of the day we got it despite finishing the match with one man less. It was a sweet win for us.

“Our focus is on the remaining league matches; we want to do absolutely everything to ensure we hit our targets. No, we are not there yet, but soon we will,” Zapata told Goal.

AFC Leopards are fourth on the log with 42 points after twenty-five matches.
