Onuachu’s hat-trick powers Midtjylland to top of Danish Superliga

Paul Onuachu scored three goals to help Midtjylland to the top of the Danish Superliga with a 5-1 victory over Nordsjaelland on Saturday.

Kenneth Andersen’s men continued their winning run against the Wild Tigers with the lanky forward producing a five-star showing.

Onuachu broke the deadlock in the 33rd minute before Godsway Donyoh levelled matter for Kasper Hjulmand’s men in the 50th minute.

The Nigerian restored the lead to the visitors three minutes later before completing his hat-trick in the 78th minute. Evander sealed the victory four minutes before regulation time.

Onuachu was replaced in the 81st minute by Mayron George as the Wolves claimed their second away victory this season to sit atop the log with 12 points from six games.

The former Vejle attacker has now scored seven goals this term and will aim to add to the tally when Midtjylland welcome Brøndby to MCH Arena on October 29.
