Nasarawa United’s Danlami Umar has revealed that their confidence has been boosted by their big win over Yobe Desert Stars, as they face Niger Tornadoes in Lokoja on Sunday.

Kabiru Dogo's men had their biggest win of the season against the Mohammed Babaganaru's side on Monday and Umar who was in goal for the game said that the emphatic triumph has lifted their spirits and that they are eager to seek consolidation against fumbling Erasmus Onuh's Tornadoes.

“Our third win of the season was very important to us and the way we had it made it sweeter for us. We have been looking for ways to show our fans that we can make them happy and we did that for them with the way we beat Yobe Desert Stars on Monday,” Umar told Goal.

“We started the season in the worst way by the way we lost to Plateau United. It was not as if we didn’t play well in the game but we left our rear guard unprotected in the late minute of the game in our desperate attempt to get the match-winner.

“We are in Lokoja for a purpose and we feel it is the right time for us to start picking away points. It is a plus that the match will be beamed live for all to see it. We are determined not to allow anything stand in our way and securing a positive result against Tornadoes."
