Tanzania Premier League giants Simba SC have since suspended their training session as the team awaits the fate of their patron, Mohamed Dewji who was allegedly kidnapped by unknown people.

Dewji, who is Africa’s youngest billionaire, according to Forbes Magazine, was kidnapped on Thursday in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania.

The 43-year old is the main financier of Simba SC who recently made a name in Kenya when they snatched former Gor Mahia striker Meddie Kagere. The club last Friday suspended their training session to pray for their chairman whose whereabouts still unknown.

“Simba’s management wishes to inform our dear members and fans that instead of the usual morning prayers, we shall have special prayers at the club’s headquarters on Msimbazi Street. The aim of these special prayers will be to ask the Almighty God to bring to a quick conclusion to the problems that have befallen our patron and sponsor Mohamed Dewji,” the club said in a statement.

The Tanzanian authorities have since arrested over 30 people in connection to the Billionaire’s abduction.
