Mathare United have signed Harambee Stars under 17 youngster, Arnold Onyango.

Onyango has joined the club on a ‘long-term’ deal, according to a statement from Mathare United obtained by Goal.

Onyango, formerly of Laiser Hill Academy, is expected to provide more options in central midfield alongside Roy Okal and Francis Omondi. "It's a dream come true to sign my first professional contract for a club with a great history of nurturing young players," said Onyango.

His acquisition comes barely hours after the ‘Slum Boys’ rapped in the services of former Sofapaka forward Kevin Kimani.

Kimani signed a two-year deal with Francis Kimanzi side ahead of the 2018/19 KPL season set to kick off on Saturday.

Mathare United are expected to kick-off their 2018/19 KPL campaign against Chemelil Sugar at the Moi Sports Centre, Kasarani on Saturday.
