Mathare United have blamed ‘biased officiating’ for their 1-1 draw against Kakamega Homeboyz on Saturday.

Wycliffe Ochomo came off the bench to score from the spot and deny the 'Slum Boys' maximum points after Chris Ochieng had given them a deserved lead in the 71st minute.

Ochomo was brought down in box with only two minutes left on the clock, and he wasted no chance, sending the ball past Wycliffe Kasaya. Mathare took to social media to blast referee, Libese Nyabera for awarding the spot-kick.

“Biased officiating by Nyabera Libese denied the lads maximum points at the Mumias Complex in a Round of 17 match against Kakamega Homeboyz that ended in a one all draw,” Mathare said on their official Face book Page.

The two sides face off again in the reverse tie slated for August 2 (Wednesday).
