The hard-working player is hoping to lead Ea Lla Koto to another victory over the Buccaneers in an interesting Cup clash in Orkney

Free State Stars captain Paulus Masehe is wary of Orlando Pirates, who will be seeking vengeance when the two sides lock horns on Saturday.

Ea Lla Koto are scheduled to host Bucs in the Nedbank Cup last 16 encounter at the James Motlatsi Stadium - a week after beating the Soweto giants 3-2 in a PSL clash at the same venue.

“It’s not going to be an easy match having played them the past weekend. I am sure they have gone back to the drawing board to rectify their mistakes,” Masehe told his club’s website.

The 33-year-old defender-come-midfielder admitted that their main focus is on the league as they are currently battling relegation.

“To be honest as much as we are focusing on the league, we also want to at least go as far as we can in the Nedbank Cup," he said.

“If one goes back to last season they knocked us out in the semi-final of the very same cup. The game on Saturday will be sort of some ‘revenge’ in a way," he continued.

“The games are coming in thick and fast and we need to focus and one hopes that the guys will take the past weekend league’s performance into the cup match.

"It’s been a while since we last tasted the cup victory," the former Pirates striker concluded.

Kick-off between Ea Lla Koto is at 20h15.
