Manchester United handed Kalidou Koulibaly boost after agent's Juventus comment

Kalidou Koulibaly's agent has ruled out a move to Juventus for the defender; one which provides Manchester United a huge boost to land their target.

The 27-year-old's showings with the Napoleans have attracted the interest of top European sides, with Juventus also believed to lining up for a shock move.

However, his agent Bruno Satin said that joining the Old Lady from a rival side would feel more like a betrayal.

“Koulibaly at Juventus? He’s very close to Napoli, the club and above all to the city,” Bruno Satin told Radio Kiss Kiss, per Calciomercato.

“I don’t think he would ever betray them to go to Juventus, but let’s not forget that they are professional players, so if you have the chance to play on important stages, you listen, even if I repeat he is very close to Napoli.”

Months ago, Napoli chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis claimed the club rejected a £95 million (€106m/$120m) bid from Manchester United - with Jose Mourinho at the helm - for the centre-back in the summer.

And, reports per The Sun, states that the English side are making the defender top priority in the coming summer, with his signing fee, pegged at £90m, set to eclipse Liverpool's £75m star Virgil van Dijk as the most expensive defender in the world.

Satin's recent comment would, however, strengthen the Red Devils' drive to sign a defender ranked highly in the world. A club legend also urged interim coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to go all out for the ball-playing defender.
