Man City Team News: Injuries, suspensions and line-up vs Southampton

Everything you need to know ahead of the Premier League clash at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday

Manchester City will be without Kevin De Bruyhne once again when they host Southampton at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

De Bruyne suffered a knee injury on Thursday evening and while the exact problem is yet to be determined Goal understands he will be out for at least a month.

Man City injuries

De Bruyne will undergo further tests on Friday to determine the extent of his latest injury but he will not feature against Southampton.

Ilkay Gundogan has been out of action for a month with a hamstring injury and he is doubtful for Sunday. Nicolas Otamendi is also doubtful with a minor tendon problem.

Claudio Bravo (Achilles) is a long-term absentee.

Neither side have any suspensions to contend with.

Man City potential starting line-up

Bernardo Silva appears most likely to deputise for De Bruyne in the midfield.

Raheem Sterling, Sergio Aguero and Riyad Mahrez were all rested for Thursday night's Carabao Cup win and are therefore likely to come back into the front three.

That is also the case for regular starters Kyle Walker, Benjamin Mendy and Aymeric Laporte in the defence.

Mark Hughes will be hoping that Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (illness) and Charlie Austin (knock) will be fit after they missed the 0-0 draw with Newcastle last weekend.
