The 28-year-old has previously been found guilty by the club of ill-discipline and was subsequently released from his contract although his current deal was only set to expire at the end of the current campaign, leaving the two parties embroiled in a dispute.
However, with the matter having appeard in front of the Premier Soccer League's (PSL) Dispute Resolution Chamber (DRC), it seems that a resolution has finally been found. According to Mashaba’s agent Tim Sukazi, the money owed to the player has finally been paid out and the matter is no longer with the DRC.
“The matter is no longer with the DRC,” Sukazi told The Star.
“We settled it and all the player's payments are up to date now. He got his November salary plus the one he didn’t receive in October,” he explained.
Meanwhile, Mashaba is currently side-lined with injury, but Sukazi further goes on to state that his client will return to Sundowns and is likely to start training again with the team in the new year.
“Mashaba is on rehab. He should start training in January and he will return to Sundowns,” Sukazi concluded.
