Red Bulls acquire Amaya from FC Cincinnati


The New York Red Bulls have completed a trade for Frankie Amaya, the club confirmed.

FC Cincinnati will receive $950K in General Allocation Money and up to an additional $125K in allocation money should Amaya trigger performance-related bonuses.

“I’m very happy that we have added Frankie to our team,” said Red Bulls head coach Gerhard Struber. “His technical skills and ability with the ball will give us more control and more options in transition and in the final third. The task for us as a coaching staff will be to integrate him quickly and immerse him in our tactics and game plan.”

Newcastle linked with Benfica fullback


Newcastle are interested in Benfica fullback Nuno Tavares, reports Record.

The Premier League side has been in contact with the Portuguese club to check in and see if they'd be willing to sell Tavares this summer.

Negotiations have not yet begun as Newcastle are feeling out a possible move for the defender.

Chelsea eye move for Sule


Chelsea are eyeing a move to sign Bayern Munich defender Nicholas Sule, reports the Athletic.

One of  Thomas Tuchel's biggest targets of the summer window is a centre-back, with Sule at the top of the German manager's wishlist.

The 25-year-old defender has just over one year left on his contract at Bayern.

Valencia set sights on Mourinho


Valencia are the latest club linked to Jose Mourinho.

According to, Valencia owner Peter Lim is prepared to part ways with Javi Gracia and pursue the now-former Tottenham boss.

Lim has already been in touch with Jorge Mendes, who represents Mourinho. 

Villa keeping tabs on Lingard


Aston Villa are the latest club to consider a summer move for Jesse Lingard, according to Football Insider.

The 28-year-old has hugely impressed on loan at West Ham, however his long term future at parent club Manchester United remains uncertain.

He has been linked with a permanent move to the Hammers and several other Premier League sides - now Villa also appear to have thrown their hat into the ring.

The Croatian defender almost moved to Anfield in January

Marseille are open to offers for defender Duje Caleta-Car should Liverpool rekindle their interest, claim RMC Sport.

The Croatian centre-back almost moved to Anfield in January, only for the Ligue 1 side to scupper the deal - however they would be willing to sell him in the summer.

Caleta-Car is reportedly still desperate to move to Liverpool, and Marseille have decided not to stand in his way should the move be an option again.

Rodgers rules out Spurs switch


Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers has played down the possibility of succeeding Jose Mourinho at Tottenham.

Rodgers told his pre-match press conference ahead of the Foxes playing West Brom on Thursday: “It’s football, there is always speculation around, every job which comes up there will always be different managers speculated to go in.

“Tottenham is a fantastic club, it’s a huge club but my focus is here. I’m at a world-class training facility, the project we’re in here we still want to develop and have a lot of work to do.

“I have a great connection with the players, the board and we have plans to keep progressing.

“While I have the energy, the happiness and see that challenge continuing I’m very happy to be here. You can’t stop gossip but I don’t think about it.”

'The new Pogba' on Chelsea and PSG's radar


Lucas Gourna-Douath has emerged this season as one of the finest young midfielders in Ligue 1, with the 17-year-old having earned admiring glances from around the continent.

Chelsea, AC Milan and RB Leipzig have all been touted as potential landing spots for Gourna-Douath, who reportedly could be made available this summer for a fee of around €25 million (£22m/$30m).

Many expected Adil Aouchiche, the former Paris Saint-Germain youngster who placed 22nd on the 2021 NXGN list in March, to be the teenage midfielder to watch at Stade Geoffroy-Guichard this term, but Gourna-Douath has stolen the spotlight since being handed his debut by Claude Puel in September.

Arsenal are in "advanced talks" regarding a permanent deal for Mat Ryan, claims Football Insider.

The Australian goalkeeper completed a loan switch to Emirates Stadium from Brighton during the winter window but could now be offered the chance to stay on in north London.

Mbappe starts house hunting in Madrid


Kylian Mbappe's future at Paris Saint-Germain remains up in the air, with the World Cup-winning forward yet to commit to a contract extension at Parc des Princes beyond the summer of 2022.

It is no secret that the talented 22-year-old is attracting admiring glances from across Europe, with La Liga giants Real Madrid looking to make him their top target for the next transfer window.

And although Goal can confirm that Mbappe has started house hunting in Madrid, there is as of yet no suggestion that he has his made up his mind over a move to the Spanish giants as he continues to weigh up his future.

Mason replaces Mourinho at Spurs on interim basis


Ryan Mason has been appointed as Tottenham's new interim manager following Jose Mourinho's sacking on Monday.

Mourinho was relieved of his duties at Spurs after 17 months in the hot-seat, just six days before he was due to oversee the team's appearance in the 2020-21 Carabao Cup final.

Mason, who had been serving as the club's head of player development, will now be tasked with delivering their first major trophy since 2008 and will see out the remainder of the season before a new permanent boss is installed over the summer.

"The agency is forced for the umpteenth time to deny what is written today in a well-known national newspaper," GEV Sport said on Instagram.

Nagelsmann is open to taking over Spurs but it could cost up to £10 million ($14m) to release him from RB Leipzig.
