AC Milan tried to sign Nabil Fekir from Betis before the transfer window closed this month.
Diario de Sevilla reports Betis were demanding around €40 million (£36m/$47m) for the 27-year-old, but Milan could not come close with their bid, instead offering to take him on loan with an option to buy next summer.

King unsure about club future
Bournemouth striker Joshua King admits he has no idea where he's likely to be playing for the rest of the season.
King has been linked with interest from Everton and West Ham but no transfer has been sorted ahead of the transfer window closing.
"Honestly, I don’t know what will happen. A lot has happened, I could have written a book about what has happened in the last two months and it would have become a bestseller," King told Norwegian broadcaster TV2.
