Former Stoke, Derby and Birmingham manager Gary Rowett is not interested in the vacant Sunderland job, according to Sky Sports News.

Rowett is understood to not be interested in managing in League One, while Championship side Millwall also hold an interest in the 45-year-old. 

Former Millwall and Everton player Tim Cahill is also under consideration for the vacant Millwall job. 

Canos signs Brentford extension

Brentford winger Sergi Canos has signed a new contract with the Championship club until 2023.

The 22-year-old has scored 23 goals in 149 appearances for the Bees, who rejected a £6.5m offer from Russian side Krasnodar for Canos this summer.

Cresswell signs two-year extension with West Ham

West Ham left-back Aaron Cresswell has signed a contract extension through 2023, the club has announced.

The 29-year-old's previous deal was set to expire in 2021 and he has now tacked on an additional two seasons. 

“I’ve been here for six years and I’ve loved every minute of it,” Cresswell told West Ham's official website. “I want to continue that and, thankfully, to extend the stay is fantastic news for me and my family. I’m looking forward to the next few years ahead."

Almeyda to stay with San Jose

San Jose Earthquakes manager Matias Almeyda has said he will stay with the club for the 2020 season. 

At a press conference on Wednesday, Almeyda said he turned down multiple offers from Liga MX clubs as well as one national team in South America. 

"Changing clubs does not even cross my mind," Almeyda said following the end of his first season in charge of the Quakes. 

Fenerbahce make contact with Arsenal over Ozil move

The Turkish side are interested in a January move for Ozil, who has seen his playing time in north London greatly diminish this season.

Genk confirm Napoli's interest in Berge

Genk president Peter Croonen has confirmed Napoli asked for information on Sander Berge.

Speaking to Radio Kiss Kiss, Croonen said that the 21-year-old, who played in the 0-0 Champions League draw with Napoli on October 2, has drawn interest from the Italian side.

“Napoli have very good directors who really appreciate our players and asked for information on our Norwegian midfielder Sander Berge,” Croonen told Radio Kiss Kiss.

“I think the figures that have been mentioned in the media, around €20-25m, represents a fair valuation.”

FC Cincy announce roster moves

FC Cincinnati have confirmed their roster moves following the conclusion of the club's first MLS season.

A total of 16 players have guaranteed contracts for the 2020 season while two, Nazmi Albadawi and Victor Ulloa, are out of contract.

The club has also declined options on Corben Bone, Justin Hoyte, Roland Lamah,  Emmanuel Ledesma and Jimmy McLaughlin, although the latter two are still in negotiations.

The manager prefers a job in England where his family lives

Jose Mourinho has turned down an offer from Lyon, according to RMC Sport.

Jean-Michel Aulas contacted the Portuguese boss after dismissing Sylvinho last weekend, but Mourinho politely declined as he wishes to remain in England.

Now, Lyon will look towards Laurent Blanc, who is the new favourite for the job.

'I always want Mbappe in my team'

West Ham to offer Cresswell new contract

West Ham are set to offer left-back Aaron Cresswell a new contract after his strong start to the season, reports The Sun. 

The 29-year-old's current deal with the club runs through 2021, but the Hammers want to extend that contract through 2023.

The club will also consider new deals for Mark Noble, Lukasz Fabianski and Michail Antonio, who are all contracted through 2021.

Arsene Wenger has said that Bayern Munich "manipulated" Serge Gnabry into leaving Arsenal in 2016.

Gnabry moved to Werder Bremen before signing with Bayern a year later, and Wenger believes that Bayern orchestrated the entire series of events.
