Former Man City defender Onuoha signs with Real Salt Lake

Nedem Onuoha has signed with Real Salt Lake of MLS, the club announced.

The former Manchester City and Queens Park Rangers defender was signed just ahead of the MLS roster freeze date as the club looks to integrate the defender ahead of the playoffs and, ultimately, the 2019 season.

“Nedum will add tremendous experience and leadership to our group,” RSL general manager Craig Waibel said.  “The expectation is that he will come over, regain full fitness and contribute as we enter the stretch run and into next year."

Nuno ignores Man Utd talk

The coach signed a new deal with the Premier League side in May and his chairman said this weak that he will stay in charge even if they get relegated this season.

And Wagner says he plans to see out his contract and help Huddersfield progress, telling reporters: “I will never leave this football club during a season, I respect my contract, and this is based on both sides."

Defour signs new Burnley deal

Reds beat Man City and Chelsea to sign teenager

Liverpool have been given international clearance to complete the signing of Ki-Jana Hoever from Ajax, Liverpool Echo reports.

The 16-year-old chose Liverpool ahead of the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea and has been training with the Reds since last month.

But the club had to wait on international clearance to be able to play the defender in the Under 18s.

"His journey begins now because he can train and try and force his way into the team," coach Barry Lewtas said. "It's really exciting for us."

Monreal in talks over new Arsenal deal

Nacho Monreal says he is in discussions to extend his Arsenal deal, according to the London Evening Standard.

The Arsenal defender, whose contract expires in the summer, has been linked with a move back to Spain, but Monreal says talks are ongoing on a new deal with the Premier League club.

"That is my idea, that is what I want," Monreal said. "We will see what happens but I feel good.

"My idea is to play football until my body says 'Nacho, so sorry but that's the end'. But I think it is far away. I hope so"

Man Utd have no plans to sell Martial

Manchester United isn't looking to sell Anthony Martial, according to the Sun.

Due to terms set with Monaco when the club signed the French forward, Manchester United would owe the Ligue 1 club half of any fee generated by Martial's sale.

As a result, club executives are not interested in the ideal for a sale of what they see to still be a potential world-class player, despite Martial only featuring for 60 minutes so far this campaign. 

 

 

West Brom signs Hoolahan

The former Republic of Ireland midfielder, who won 122 caps before retiring from the international game in March, has agreed to a short-term deal with the club that could be extended in January.

Hoolahan was a free agent after leaving Norwich City at the end of last season, ending a 10-year stay with the club. 

Guardiola: De Bruyne has no €250m release clause
