Robert Lewandowski won't be back for the second leg 🥴
Robert Lewandowski has confirmed he won't be fit for the second leg against PSG ❌— Goal (@goal) April 7, 2021
🗣 "No, [next week] is still too early.
"I'll do everything I can to get back on the pitch, but only when I feel really good and safe. It's not a good feeling to sit at home." [Sky Sports] pic.twitter.com/3uRYSQfbfT
Bayern have lost a Champions League match under Hansi Flick for the first time
Hansi Flick speaking to Sky: "We would have liked to have had a different result. With the scoring chances we had, it could have been a different result. But we are satisfied with the way we played. The way we played football was top. This team never gives up. My compliments."
"We will try everything to get to the semi-finals."
Thomas Muller to Sky Sports 💬
"We need to score significantly more goals. Of course, you can always discuss conceding goals. But I think if it ends 6:3 for us, then nobody can complain. But well, that's the way it is now, we've laid the egg in our own nest. And now we have to chase the deficit, that's for sure."
Too many mistakes? "We didn't really allow that much. If we showed the killer instinct that often distinguishes us, we would have seen a completely different game. It's also clear that you can never completely shut down Paris' offensive. And that we didn't do a great job of conceding goals, that's usually the case. We have an attacking approach, that's why we score a lot of goals, that's why we win a lot of games and today we missed a lot of big chances.
'They'll fight for the next leg and we'll have to give it our all. We'll be ready.'
Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount to BT Sport: "We knew it would be a tough game. We kept going, we got the goal in the first half and the second secured a good win. It's only half the tie, there's a second leg to go."
"It's about time it [his first Champions League goal] came. I've been waiting patiently. It was a good time for it to come. A good pass by Jorginho, I had space and I hit it.
"I'm always working on it [finishing]. I don't think you can work on it enough. I think I can improve on it and score more goals.
"He [Ben Chilwell] showed great composure. I thought he'd shoot in front of goal but he took it past the keeper. He'll be buzzing with that.
"The job's not done. They'll fight for the next leg and we'll have to give it our all. We'll be ready."
Julian Draxler's thoughts
Draxler talking to Sky Sports.
On the match: "That was a good first step. It is not easy to win here, and we did that. But you saw today the quality of Bayern, it's going to be a very very tough second leg."
Him at the DFB: "I was with the national team for years, but not the last time. And I have no choice but to perform at the club, that's what I'm trying to do at the moment and everything else will be decided by him."
His future: "That will be seen. My contract is coming to an end. Right now we have a lot of important games and then we will see at a later stage."
What's the secret? 🤐
