Sydney Derby locked in for FFA Cup semi-finals


Western Sydney Wanderers will host Sydney FC in the FFA Cup semi-finals in what stands to be a huge local derby in early October.

Elsewhere, Bentleigh Greens and Adelaide United will face off after both secured quarter-final wins on Wednesday night.

Jamie Maclaren facing several weeks out with injury


Australian striker Jamie Maclaren could be out of action for up to seven weeks after a back injury was worse than first thought.

Scans have revealed the extent of an injury that's seen Maclaren miss club side Hibernian's past two games.

The injury means the attacker is now all but certain to miss Graham Arnold's first game in charge of the Socceroos in October against Kuwait.

Usain Bolt's next Mariners match revealed


The Olympic champion will play for Central Coast in a friendly against NPL 1 side Wollongong Wolves on Friday October 5.

WIN Stadium in Wollongong is the venue, with kickoff at 7.30pm (AEST).

It will be Bolt's first match since making his debut in an exhibition match last month.

Tickets will be available on Ticketmaster from September 27.

It is yet to be confirmed whether the match will be telecast on Fox Sports.
