“Every chef wants to take over the world,” says Jonny Marsh, who has visited all four corners of it during a career spent cooking for some of football’s leading megastars.
A former apprentice of the world-renowned Raymond Blanc, Jonny turned his back on the restaurant business to combine his passion for cooking and his love of the game, carving out a career that has seen him prepare meals for John Terry, Paul Pogba, Jordan Pickford, Harry Winks and a whole host of other Premier League stars.
He even prepared Christmas lunch for Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne, who Jonny revealed was “initially adamant he didn’t want a chef.” Four years later, Jonny is still still with him.
Through their LIVE THE GOAL campaign, GOALSTUDIO is celebrating those whose accomplishments were realised by channelling their passion for football into a business or initiative that links to the wider culture around the game.
And few have been as successful and inspiring as Jonny – discover his full story in the video below.
