Bayern Munich have given an "all clear" on striker Robert Lewandowski after he was withdrawn just before half-time in Saturday's 2-0 Bundesliga win against RB Leipzig.

The Poland international had just doubled Bayern's lead with a cool finish from the edge of the box when he pulled up, clutching his hamstring.

9/2 for Celtic and Bayern to draw

He attempted to play on for a few minutes but then signalled to the bench that he needed to come off.

There were fears the 29-year-old could miss Tuesday's trip to Celtic, but the German champions released a statement after the game saying Lewandowski's removal was "precautionary" due to "mild muscular problems."

After the game, Bayern manager Jupp Heynckes expressed optimism that the injury wasn't serious.

“We can not say exactly what he has," Heynckes said. "I think it is not quite so bad. This of course has to do with the load of the last few weeks. He also has little support at the front. But these are things we have to work out.”

Heynckes' men go into the match against Celtic in second place, three points behind Group B leaders Paris Saint-Germain.
