Gor Mahia have parted ways with midfielder Anthony Mbugua ahead of next season.

K’Ogalo CEO Omondi Aduda has revealed to Goal that Mbugua will not be part of the team after he decided to seek for playing time ‘elsewhere.’

“We have talked to him and he has decided to leave. It is a mutual agreement because he wants to play and unfortunately we cannot offer that. We have allowed him to sign for another club and want to wish him well in his future endevours.”

Mbugua did not feature prominently for the league champions under coach Dylan Kerr. The decision to release the player comes a day after the club confirmed three signings.

Humphrey Mieno has joined K’Ogalo after being released by Tusker while the club has also signed defenders Wesley Onguso and Charles Momanyi from Sofapaka and Kakamega Homeboyz respectively.

Gor Mahia will represent the country in Caf Champions League next year.
